About Us
Chickadee Hills Homestead is a local sustainable pasture-raised heritage hog farm located in Spooner, Wisconsin, near the northeastern border of Minnesota.
We raise heritage breed Mangalitsa hogs rotated on pasture and fed only Non-GMO feed. No herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are used on the farm.
Mangalista is the primary breed raised on our farm because of their delicious flavor and red meat. The Mangalitsa hog, also known as the “Kobe beef of pork” and “olive oil on legs”, is a red meat lard breed of hog from Hungary that is claimed to be the tastiest pork in the world.
Mangalitsa is lower in saturated fat, making them a healthier option than other pigs. Contact us to try our holistically raised pork or schedule a farm tour today.
